Brant

Branta bernicla

These bids breed in maritime areas and migrate along the British Columbia coast, Hudson Bay, and James Bay. During their winter migration, they stay along salt water bays, tidal flats, and rocky shores. In the summer they remain in the arctic coastal islands and deltas. They nest in loose colonies or separately from one another. The female will lay between three to five eggs. This small goose lives primarily along the coasts and anywhere close to salt water. It is very popular with hunters.
