Northern Gannet

Morus bassanus

Gannets are good divers, pursuing their prey with a sudden rapid plunge. The northern gannet, which displays a white body, buff head, and black wing tips, can be found in the ocean surrounding Newfoundland, Labrador, the Gaspé Peninsula and northern Nova Scotia.
